Kittino is the mother of four precious children and the wife of a truly incredible husband. As far as where she got her name, think back to when you were a little girl. (I know for you men that that will be a little more difficult!) Do you remember how you imagined your first name put next to every cute boy’s last name? Kitty So-and-So, Mrs. So-and-So, Mrs. Kitty So-and-So…You get the idea. I can honestly say that I never tried Kitty Smith. Mrs. Smith? You’ve got to be kidding! So when Mr. Smith begged (my memory, not his) me to marry him, I agreed, with one condition. I had to have a different last name. I couldn’t possibly be Mrs. Smith!! After all, that’s a fictional character, and I’m a real person! My incredible husband and I determined that my new name would be Kittino Smitherino, and from that day forward Kittino was born!

Who is Kittino now besides a mom and a wife? As you read through my blog, hopefully you’ll discover some things about me. I can be irritable and am noise-sensitive, a wonderful quality when mothering four children! I am not nearly as self-confident as people think that I am. Actually, I struggle with never feeling good enough at anything I do. I do know, though, that I am a good friend. I know that I love my children like nobody’s business. I know that I treasure my husband, and I’ll do battle to keep him!! I know that I love Jesus and that He thought enough of me before I was even born to die on the cross for ALL of my crap! I know that I’m a work in progress and that I’ll never quit trying - trying to know Him more, trying to love my husband and my children better, trying to be a better friend, trying to keep a cleaner house, trying to outdo my husband in the Surprise Department, trying to cook dinner at least a couple of times a week, trying to eat better and work out more, trying to be perfect, basically!! I know I’ll never arrive, but I’m on the journey, and with Jesus’ help, I’m going to finish the race well!!
